Folkestone Gardens Skatepark in Deptford, is a concrete skatepark, with street features, a plaza section, transition features and a half-bowl. The park is free to skate, open 24/7 but is unlit. It is well served by Overground trains and is conveniently in the middle of many stations, a 14 minute walk from New Cross Gate, New Cross, Deptford and South Bermondsey.
The park’s transition features include 2 small quarter pipes and a small spine. All of these are placed at some distance from each other so can be tricky to skate. The park also features a small half bowl with metal coping. The plaza section includes smaller obstacles including a 3-stair, a hand rail, skateable benches and low ledges. All concrete, it is a smooth skate and great for line skaters and skaters of a more intermediate level.
